Whether playing unplugged or through a PA, go well beyond a typical dreadnought with the Ibanez AAD50CE Advanced Acoustic Series Guitar, presented in a natural, low-gloss finish. Incorporating built-in electronics and key design enhancements inside and out, the AAD50CE offers gigging musicians and home recording artists a comfortable playing experience with big clear tone, plenty of projection, and expanded versatility over acoustic-only guitars.

Being 5% larger than a dreadnought, the grand dreadnought body style delivers increased volume and low-end power. It features a straight cutaway from the 18th fret, which ensures uninhibited access to the guitar's upper register. Special X-M bracing allows the AAD50CE to be responsive while providing crisp trebles, warm mids, and bass that doesn't get lost. The fresh bridge pin design makes the pins easier to remove and insert without compromising stability. Wood selection on the AAD50CE includes sapele for the back and sides, a solid sitka spruce top, and purpleheart for the fingerboard and bridge.

Grand Dreadnought Body

Through a rigorous R&D process spanning several years, Ibanez has reimagined the dreadnought from the ground up, pursuing the height of rich sound, robust lows, and rich tone. This brand new body shape is called the Grand Dreadnought. Proportionally, the Grand Dreadnought body is 5% larger than a standard dreadnought, allowing for more volume, richer tone, and a more powerful low-end response. It's also extremely comfortable to play thanks to the extensive consideration given to its ergonomics.

X-M Bracing

After spending years of trial and error, Ibanez realized the innovative X-M bracing to generate the optimal sound to stand out onstage. The carefully designed scalloped X-bracing, the allocation of tone braces, and finger braces transmit the string vibration efficiently through the bridge to the body. The X-M bracing creates the clear bottom and crispy treble sound with trimmed warm midrange, yet provides a wide dynamic range that is highly responsive.

Advanced Access Cutaway

Its deep straight cutaway (from the 18th fret) and shaved side enable great high fret access.

Functional Tapered Headstock

The newly designed headstock shape is the result of thorough research and investigation. Its tapered shape provides lighter weight, as well as a straight string alignment which enhances tuning stability and reduces any neck twisting effect.

Preamp with Onboard Tuner

The Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp provides the extra punch of onboard 2-band EQ along with a convenient and easy-to-read digital tuner, located on the instrument's upper bout.

Purpleheart Fretboard and Bridge

Purpleheart produces a rich midrange with crisp trebles.

Undersaddle Pickup

The Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup accurately translates the AAD50CE's full sound to whatever amplification system you plug it into. The inclusion of balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs means that the AAD50CE can be connected to a DI, an amp, a mixer, or an external preamp.

Ibanez Advantage Bridge Pins

These pins really are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage, the pin and string stay put.
