*PROJECT* Vintage Gibson Country Western Model Acoustic Guitar with Soft Shell Case *PROJECT*
A great choice for a luthier's dream project piece.
The previous owner told us that this guitar has been around the world but rarely saw the friendly face of a repair technician or luthier.
Though this guitar has had a bit of a rough time of it, it still sounds very nice when tuned up and strummed.
The top bracing appears to still be intact and there is no apparent separation at the neck set.
There is a small crack near the rosette.
The back, however, has several cracks and the bracing has failed, along with some binding separation.
The rest of the body has heavy playwear, finish checking, dings, and scratches.
The frets have heavy wear, especially in first position.
The saddle has been taken down rather low, most likely to improve playability over the years.
This guitar is definitely in need of a heavy helping of TLC, and someone willing to take the time to give it.
